Assisted care
Parents, family members, nurses, and caregivers help children, older adults, and people who have difficulty managing a tissue independently.
Partnerships
Public Hygiene Designs has developed a patent pending disposable nasal care format. We welcome licensing and IP acquisition discussions with partners who can help refine, validate and commercialize it.
Why this opportunity exists
Ordinary flat tissues require people to improvise the positioning, holding, and handling of used material. These steps can become especially awkward when helping someone else blow their nose.
Parents, family members, nurses, and caregivers help children, older adults, and people who have difficulty managing a tissue independently.
The same handling challenge appears at work, while traveling, and in public settings where disposal and handwashing may not be immediately available.
Commercial fit
The initial commercial focus is a portable disposable format for everyday nasal care, with relevance to caregiving, travel, work, and professional settings. A tissue partner’s own absorbent material could be incorporated into the format.
Development status
Prototype only. Not yet in commercial production.
Technical information and prototype details are available through an appropriate controlled review process.
One hand use is a core feature of the working prototype. Further work focuses on design refinement, manufacturing assessment and planning for formal performance testing.
The existing program gathers professional input on unmet need and clinical rationale. Participation does not establish product efficacy.
